Chorus Set your mind to it; pray through it; go do it Let nothing stand in your way; diligently pursue it Cowards complain; their so lame; it’s old news They spend a lifetime singin’ the blues Mind over matter; forget the chit-chatter Cock your water pistol, stormin’ through the gates of hell “I’ve got no need to role with a crew, to know I prevail” I do not fail! Verse 1 In my bible every night; maintain my sanity Ephesians 4:29; I don’t use profanity Stay out these streets at night, ‘cause women dressin’ scantily Short skirts with flirty eyes; they won’t be seducing me! Christian! Got my faith on high Small stature in the world, but I keep my eyes to the sky I’ve got the heat of a lion at 5-7; 153 Protected by the Lord, partner; ain’t nobody touchin’ me Reclaiming everything he’s stolen from us The victory’s already won, because in God I trust You can keep your agitations and forget the frustrations Raise my hands up to heaven and commence the celebration Phony riches in the air they flaunt But the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want I’ve got no need to roll with a crew, to know I prevail I stand alone; I do not fail! Verse 2 Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious But the way you livin’ man, is kind of atrocious Take a look up in the mirror; tell me what do you see The same sins that burned them branches off your family tree Man I was just like you; blind to the truth But now I follow Jesus tryin’ to teach the youth Blasphemies over beats, my God will dispute “There’s only one Jehova”; don’t you trust them phony substitutes I’m gon’ exalt my God; praise his name And without shame, ‘cause He deserves all the fame Sharp mind, brave heart, swift feet I can do all things through the Holy Spirit: PARACHLETE! Your dry bones slow grind into the grave But as quick as a tick on a clock, the Lord saves Ain’t you sick and tired of writing checks your life can’t afford? Well then, take up your cross; humble yourself; and follow the Lord! Chorus Set your mind to it; pray through it; go do it Let nothing stand in your way; diligently pursue it Cowards complain; their so lame; it’s old news They spend a lifetime singin’ the blues Mind over matter; forget the chit-chatter Cock your water pistol, stormin’ through the gates of hell Following Jesus, I’m the head and I am not the tail No! My soul’s not for sale Chorus Set your mind to it; pray through it; go do it Let nothing stand in your way; diligently pursue it Cowards complain; their so lame; it’s old news They spend a lifetime singin’ the blues Mind over matter; forget the chit-chatter Cock your water pistol, stormin’ through the gates of hell “I’ve got no need to role with a crew, to know I prevail” I do not fail! Eight Rounds 05:05
Chorus I'm in the fight for my life and ever morning my feet hit the ground I lace up my battle gloves...preparing for eight rounds. I'm in the fight for my soul and everyday when my bell sounds, I'm steppin' up in my ring...battling for eight rounds. Verse 1 Round one: I'm against the gun; Gotta run; no time for fun 'Cause everyday is like a race for time, when God's on my mind, Gotta spread that good word: seek and you shall find...the truth! Gotta make that plane as Jane, Y'all goin' insane Actin' like God don't exist; like there's no assis - tance Just chance, in life's dance Round two: tell me whatcha gon' do When the Lord comes through with his whole crew on you! Shakin' and bakin', your souls are taken To the place of ultimate disgrace. But not me, yo. 'Cause you see bro, The Lord's with me everywhere I go. I'm walking in His light, amazed at how He helps me grow. Round three: its on "E" (that's me) I'm givin' you the truth, so that you'll see. The night's dark and hell is hot. Fakin' like it ain't real will only secure your spot. In flames; el fuego; false structures built up like Lego. But my faith rests in the One; (JESUS!) the only one begotten Son. Round four: open up the door let me in; face sin, 'til I can't fight no more. Quick step, don't hit the floor; Left hook; fightin' hard like I never have before. My mind's set; faith on the rise; The enemy's hellbent on my demise, but there's power in the word 'cause the word's alive (I can't quit; I can't faint) I will survive! Chorus I'm in the fight for my life and ever morning my feet hit the ground I lace up my battle gloves...preparing for eight rounds. I'm in the fight for my soul and everyday when my bell sounds, I'm steppin' up in my ring...battling for eight rounds. Verse 2 Round five: I'm stayin' alive Slip the jab; bob, weave; move side to side Beat the devil at his game; let go of pride. I can run around the ring, but its hard to hide. Take rest (take rest); refresh (refresh) breathe in I've got my second wind, and it begins again I strike with the light, 'til I defeat sin Round six: still in the mix The enemy's in his bag pullin' out new tricks. He's got death in the corner gettin' high off pixy sticks; Building strongholds with new bricks. Slow it down (Slow it down); turn around (turn around) Face fear with faith unbound I've got the faith of the Lord runnin' through my veins Breakin' shackles free and lettin' loose my chains! Rhonda Siete': demonds comin' at me But I bet they, Didn't count on me fightin' back Use my own fear as a sneak attack, like (*surprise laugh and bell*) How you like me now? I speak life to death, and give it all to God, 'Cause He can pull the victory somehow! Round eight: gotta stay up straight Can't bend; won't break; do whatever it takes When the Lord comes back man, He won't wait. Find faith in the word, before its too late! Refuse to conform to the ways of this life. Gave up my lustful thoughts and turned over my struggles and strife!

Verse 1 Lord, do you care about me and my family Hard times stretch out, as far as I can see For ev’ry step I make, I take two back Feels like I’m stuck in a rut; can’t find the right track Lord help me please; can’t help my-self I wasted too much time, tryin’ to be someone else I turn it over to you, to let you lead the way Sick of findin’ trouble, chasin’ false hopes day to day. “Count it all joy,” James- 1:2 says Keepin’ the faith for the brighter days Lord, I know you’re with me, so please forgive my doubt I’ve got some stress upon my chest; I’m tryin’ to shout it out I need a new plan, something I can understand Readin’ through your word to help me grow into a better man Guide me down your path, ‘cause see, I haven’t got a clue I know you’ve got a plan; I wanna help you see it through As for me and my house, we choose to serve you Wanna be accepted when my time is due Blessings on my son, Lord; teach him how to stand Grow him up into a godily man. Verse 2 Let me show you a world beyond your heavy smoke You tryin’ to cope, rollin’ stone for your anecdote But the anecdote puts you in a saddened slope No room for hope, with a face that shows a constant mope You whine and grope ‘cause your life is so miserable Living with regrets and the list is so extendable “I wish, I wish, I wish” is the statement so repeatable The past is the past, here’s your present so it’s time to go “Oh, Israel, your life is so cynical Eleven-day journey turned into a four-oh See, I loved you, before you loved me Heard your prayers, felt your tears, so I set you free And now you’re free, but you want to star to doubt me Gave you what you want, and now you forgot about me?” Yeah…this is what I think the Lord would say Let me show you, before you fall astray. Chorus Gotta find that place in my heart, I can turn to (Let me show you…) I need your mercy and grace, ‘cause there’s so much I go through (Let me show you…) God, I need your strength to do things I’m afraid to do (Let me show you…) Take me into your arms, and I promise I will follow you (Let me show you...) Verse 3 – Sermon Excerpt In the beginning was the Word; And the Word was with God; And the Word became flesh! Whoo!! For unto you is born a child; and a son is given And you shall call him Wonderful, Councellor, Mighty Father, Emmanuel, God with us Oh, I wish I was Pentecostal this morning, I wish I could help you this morning, Understand how bad God wants to get in your life, and have fellowship with you It’s not about stained glass windows And having little sacraments And sayin’ your little prayers Its about walking with God, in the cool of the day Its about having God with you in the country Having God with you in the city Having God with you…all week long Verse 4 Every-day mercy; how am I worthy? I see a change in me but yet my hands are dirty Knowing only you can make me clean That’s why you came down to die for me Now I proceed, picking up my sword to read A false truth would only hand me to my enemy And just to think of all the things that he would say to me Hand me the world, but kill me spiritually Lord you made this beat; you composed the talent And every word upon this page, you helped my mind to add it So Lord humble me right where I stand ’Cause pride can turn an angel into a devil, man Lord grant me strength for my weakest days See my heart clean; I’m forever changed New life; new vision And on His hands, we’re admitted Chorus Gotta find that place in my heart, I can turn to (Let me show you…) I need your mercy and grace, ‘cause there’s so much I go through (Let me show you…) God, I need your strength to do things I’m afraid to do (Let me show you…) Take me into your arms, and I promise I will follow you (Let me show you...) Gotta find that place in my heart, I can turn to (Let me show you…) I need your mercy and grace, ‘cause there’s so much I go through (Let me show you…) God, I need your strength to do things I’m afraid to do (Let me show you…) Take me into your arms, and I promise I will follow you (Let me show you...) Outro – Chorus Echo (Let me show you...) (Let me show you...) (Let me show you...) (Let me show you...)

(* clear my throat*) Pre-chorus Summertime love is on my mind, and I won't forget The way we share, the way we care, and I don't regret Half-chorus Summer Love: girl I'm with you Summer Love: I promise to stay true Verse 1 Thinkin' on the day we stood together; said, "I do" We had no clue of what God was up to Long days and nights spent together, Couldn't seperate the two of us, in any type of weather Blissful (blissful); marriage as fine as wine Girl I belonged to you, and you were all mine Played the roll; gave up total control, A part of me wanted to stay this way, 'til we're old But then my selfish ambition had me wishin' for the game Takin' it back, 'cause things ain't the same Flirtin' with the devil kept my mind unfurled, and I forgot Baby you were my world Left you alone while I roamed from home, You entertained your own lust, creepin' on the phone Seven years later, and we came undone We turned away from it all, and gave it all to the Son; JESUS! Chorus Summer Love: baby stay with me (My baby, stay with me) Summer Love: I promise you will see (I promise you will see) Summer Love: girl I'm with you (I'm with you) Summer Love: I promise to stay true (To you, I will be true) Verse 2 Summer love's not a season, but a state of mind "Cause real love is so hard to find Let alone keep; don't sleep Gotta put in the work brother, seven days a week Remind her how much you care; Come hell or high water, you're always there Put your big boy pants on; show emotion What she needs is love and devotion "Song of Songs" is the lovers' delight Get your bible read on; learn to treat your girl right, man Take a stand; remember the wedding bands; remind her of safety in your strong hands A three-fold chord is hard to break Get the Lord in your marriage; do whatever it takes Take her way back to when love was true Summer Love makes old love, new

Chorus (Our) Time is up The hour’s comin’ for the Lord’s return Jesus is ridin’ on his enemies And hearts will burn Your eyes are unbelievin’ Satan’s been deceivin’ Rev -el -a -tion Judg -ment -Day Game is over Saints are waitin’ on the Lord’s return Jesus is comin’ So you’d better make that U-turn No more blatant lies Or sinful alibis Done Judg -ment -Day Verse 1 Your eyes are unbelieving, Your mind just can’t conceive it, The Bible warned you, but you shirked it Choosing not to read it. Blow-in’ from the sky above, and Ri-sin’ from the grave below The trumpet sounded; dead in Christ, wake up It’s time to go. All the unbelievers panicking At mass-confusion’s reign. They’re looking for some answers, Knowing that they search in vain. They’ve wasted precious time, Chasin’ after selfish gain; Runnin’ for the dollars; the toys; For the fortune and fame. Human depravity judged by the Almighty Lord Four Horsemen ride; They shatter pride; They slay by the Heavenly sword. Seal number six, breaks, The great quake shakes Blood shrouds the moon The sun’s black at noon World dominating powers Simply hide and cower. They tryin’ to hustle the Lord, In this: the final hour. Fed up with blasphemies, And disrespectful virtues. Revelation’s here at last. The time has come for you to choose. Chorus Verse 2 Seven trumpets blasting, Signifying earth is under siege Poisoned waters; demon locusts Forcing heathens to their knees. The second terror sets The horsemen into hellish flight: Smokin’ fire; burnin’ sulfur; Killin’ everything in sight. Two Holy witnesses Granted authority To shut the sky and prophesy; Converting the minority. Terror number three, Scared the devil outta me. The complete wrath of God’s About to be set free. I saw Satan Cast down through the skies, Given free reign to spread His propaganda and lies, And with no shame, Defame the Lord’s name as he conquered the land, branding His mark on everybody’s right hand. But God sealed His own, While seated high on the throne. Settin’ the stage for war; It’s time to settle the score. The three angels are sent; There’s still time to repent, But you’d better get it done, Because the worse has yet to come. Chorus Verse 3 Seven bowls about to fall, Sores afflicting one and all, Water turned to blood; There’s nothin’ left to drink, for none of y’all. Sun’s scorchin’ unbelievers As they curse His Holy name. Babylon engulfed in darkness; Haughty splendor, turned to shame. The Euphrates dried up; Nothing is holdin’ back The armies of darkness, to the east, Are on the attack (Armegeddon). (The) Last quake struck, Everything is turned asunder. Hail – stones rain Through the lighting and thunder. The clouds parted ways, I saw something new, The white stallion with the rider Called Faithful and True. His eyes blazed like fire, (His) words cut like a sword slashing through a hundred million Of the enemy horde. They tried to stand against the Lord You can’t fight against truth Slayed all rebellious men From the old, to the youth. Jesus looked in my eyes My mind started to scream Told me to wake up and write ‘cause it was more than a dream. Outro Verse I woke up; chest pounding; Screaming, in a cold sweat. But then I realized This hasn’t come to pass yet. Reached for my pencil; script the lines; Did what I had to do; Spit the verses; pass the message on From me to you. The Lord is comin’, So you’d better get your life in line. Don’t waste your time Then wake to find, you’ve been left behind. God is patient But the Revelation’s on the way Be prepared, and repent Before Judgment day.

Intro Back in the day, her grandma took her to church on every Sunday Hoping and praying she would submit to God one day A wild child, always itchin’ to fight She struggled daily makin’ that choice between wrong and right But now… Verse 1 She’s sixteen, already sinnin’ like adults do Broken home she’s got nothin’ to look forward to Lustin’ after money was her heart’s real joy The first chance she got, she went and hooked up with a dope boy Fast cars; shiny things; she was livin’ that life Yoked to the game; she was sin’s own wife Rollin’ up that joint, they passed it down the line She took a toke up on that poison and it blew her mind Next, she was cracked out, pipe blown; jacked out Steady doin’ wrong; that money was still long Seein’ friends die young didn’t stop her flow ‘Cause livin’ fast and dyin’ young was the only way to go But soon her heart could only take so much Her beauty faded; spirit jaded; and she lost her touch Pushin’ in that needle; veins burned too long; Now she’s gone. Chorus Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame The devil’s comin’ to kill, and its your life he’ll claim Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame ‘Cause satan’s seekin’ to destroy and its your life he’ll claim Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame Judas sold out Jesus; don’t do the same Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame Refrain Verse 2 Three thirty in the mornin’ still slangin’ at the dope spot Got your night vision on, ‘cause your block’s hot Glock strapped tight; money right; not a cop in sight You lookin’ ‘round, like everything’s alright But, around the way, a plan’s put into play The task force is comin’ to get ‘cha; ‘bout to ruin your day While you keep shirkin’ the Lord; you ain’t got no time for God To busy runnin’ with satan; keepin; up the façade They’ve got the gats cocked; while you’re slangin’ rocks Creepin’ up the street; totin’ the heat You’re doin’ wrong and it won’t be long Before your momma’s on the front pue, lamentin’ to a sad song Leanin’ on the brick wall countin’ your cash You never heard ‘em run up on you; never saw the shots flash Now you’re lyin’ on the concrete, losin’ your breath And realize you’re about to face a spiritual death Chorus Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame The devil’s comin’ to kill, and its your life he’ll claim Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame ‘Cause satan’s seekin’ to destroy and its your life he’ll claim Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame Judas sold out Jesus; don’t do the same Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame Refrain Verse 3 He’s tired of copin’ with his wife’s funky attitude Hit the streets, lookin’ for someone in a better mood Late night creepin’, and his phone keeps beepin’ Even though this cat is yoked, he’s steady lyin’ to folks Found a Jezebel to get close to Unprotected sex was on the menu Did the deed in private; got away with the sin He thought the drama was over but its about to begin Its now seven years past and the marriage is blessed He gave his life over to Christ, and got the stress off his chest But, one day his got the toys spread all over the floor While playin’ with his little boy, there was a knock at the door Nobody there; just a cursive note Took the page, looked it over, and he almost choked Written in black letters for his wife to see The note read, “I’m positive for H.I.V.” Chorus Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame The devil’s comin’ to kill, and its your life he’ll claim Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame ‘Cause satan’s seekin’ to destroy and its your life he’ll claim Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame Judas sold out Jesus; don’t do the same Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame Refrain Outro Make no mistake, this is a Christian track To let you know that followin’ sin into the end is wack Don’t follow the world’s definition of fame ‘Cause satan’s prowlin’ to hack, destroy, bully and maim.

about

Jesus is the Good Shepherd. And we followers are His faithful flock. We recognize His voice. Unfortunately, the rest of the world tends to ignore the voice of God. In order to save the lost, sometimes we have to speak in a language they understand; give them something that they can relate their own struggles to. Then...we can communicate the gospel with them.

That's what this EP is about. I wanted to give Christian soldiers encouragement, and attract the unsaved in a way that would cause them to listen to the gospel. Hip Hop music doesn't have to be labeled as secular. The youth of today understand this music in a way that we old school folks never thought to use it. Jesus is alive within the verses of these tracks.

about

Ennis (Bro. E) Smith Lincoln Park, Michigan

Writing devotionals, short stories and articles for the Lord is a passion of mine. But I also love the rhythm of a deep kick drum, tight snares, and harmonic melodies laced together to form a hip hop track. So, it was only a matter of time before I put the two passions together, to make my own sound.

Making music glorifying God, brings me joy.
