about

This album was a true labor of love, for me. A few years back, I hatched a "wishlist" plan of making instrumental old school remakes for some of hip hop's lengendary MCs. The fantasy was to have old school giants contribute verses to these raw, unmastered tracks, specifically to give the music that old school appeal.

"What would it be like to hear MC Lyte flow over a mellow groove? How might Ice Cube attack a grimy West Coast classic? What would happen if Will Smith dropped a verse over an 80's classic? What if Rakim and KRS One...whoah! What if Big Daddy Kane and L.L. Cool J...yikes!"

You get my point. Well, I kicked the fantasy into full blown "What-If" mode, and created this album. If I want to chase the dream, I need to present the giants with music, right?

So, it was only a matter of time before I put the two passions together, to make my own sound.

Making music glorifying God, brings me joy.
